Jason Momoa

Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa is an American actor and film producer. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on August 1, 1979, he made his acting debut as Jason Ioane on the series Baywatch: Hawaii, which aired from 1999 to 2001. He later portrayed Ronon Dex on the Syfy science fiction series Stargate Atlantis from 2005 to 2009.

Early life

Momoa was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Coni (Lemke), a photographer, and Joseph Momoa, a painter. His father is of Native Hawaiian and Samoan descent. His mother, who is originally from Iowa, is of German, Irish, and Native American ancestry.
