Ryan Thomas Gosling was born on November 12, 1980, in London, Ontario, Canada. His parents are Donna (Wilson), a secretary, and Thomas Ray Gosling, a traveling salesman. He is the second of two children and has an older sister named Mandi. His ancestry includes French-Canadian, English, Scottish, and Irish heritage. Gosling was raised in a Mormon family in London, Ontario, before moving to Cornwall, Ontario.
