Fan Bingbing

Fan Bingbing is a Chinese actress, television producer, and pop singer. She first gained recognition for her role in the costume drama My Fair Princess (1998–1999). Her career breakthrough occurred with Feng Xiaogang's film Cell Phone (2003), which became the highest-grossing Chinese film of that year and earned her the Hundred Flowers Award for Best Actress. She has since starred in numerous television series and films, including The Proud Twins, Eight Heroes, and The 355.

Career

Fan Bingbing gained initial recognition for her performance in the costume drama My Fair Princess, which aired from 1998 to 1999. Her breakthrough role came with Feng Xiaogang's film Cell Phone (2003). The movie became the highest-grossing Chinese film of 2003, and Fan Bingbing won the Hundred Flowers Award for Best Actress for her portrayal in it.

Following this success, she starred in the television series The Proud Twins in 2004 and Eight Heroes in 2006. Her filmography also includes a role in The 355. In addition to acting, Fan Bingbing works as a television producer.

Personal life

Fan Bingbing was previously engaged to actor and director Li Chen. The couple called off their engagement in 2019. Chinese tax authorities have ordered her to pay a massive tax fine.
